Is it safe to use baby oil as a lubricant while pregnant?

Does it cost any harm to the baby? I would say No.Well the baby is protected in the sac(your bag of water) which is plugged by mucus which is designed to keep infection, bacteria, and other harmful from getting to your unborn.....however if you use it and it causes YOU infection then your symptoms fever...chills....etc could pose potentially harmful to your baby(especially of gone untreated)


Is it safe.....I would say ask your dr. bottom line.I would not use it however due to ingredients,scents, etc. I would stick to something trusted and that is actually a lubricant (KY) baby oil is like a lotion not a lubricant, which could cause rash,irritation,and who knows what else the pregnant vagina is VERY sensitive. It's never safe to use baby oil as lube...it can trap bacteria and cause infections, and if you happen to be using a condom, degrade the latex and make it tear...not a good thing. Get some generic lube made for sex and you'll be better off.Is it safe to use baby oil as a lubricant while pregnant?
Your cervix is plugged with mucus during pregnancy so there's no danger of the lubricant getting up to the baby. Just make sure it's water-based if you're using condoms since petroleum-based products will put holes in them.
With the scents added, I wouldn't. A pregnant woman's vagina is very sensitive and the scents and aromas may cause irritation or infection.








I'd stick with a normal vaginal lubricant.

If u mean as a vaginal lubricant, baby oil is a bad one pregnant or not. Use a water based lube like KY. If u mean as a skin moisturizer then baby oils fine.
baby oil is a really crappy lubricant. Pregnant or otherwise... I suggest saliva or KY jelly. If you're going to anal route, stick with KY
If you check whats in it its usually mostly mineral oil - yuk! I wouldn't use it - try a tube of KY jelly
