Yes it can be used as a lube, yes it is safe for all areas of the skin.


However, you can NOT used it with condoms! Any petroleum based lube will degrade a condom thus rendering it ineffective. Baby oil is a chemical substance it is a mineral oil derived from petroleum with fragrance added. The hydrocarbons present in baby oil make it undesirable to use on intimate body parts. Personally due to its make-up of petroleum I would not use it at all for anything, including my baby and certainly not on my private parts!!!





As it is a mineral based oil its use internally is not desirable as it can lead to yeast infections as the body cannot break it down as efficiently as water based lubes.





Use a commercially prepared lube that is water based or if you must use olive oil before baby oil. Olive oil is a natural substance that does not contain hydrocarbons and is non scented.

I have heard that women past their menopause, use baby oil to lubricate and found out that it serves the purpose satisfactorily. Just don't use too much, it will feel very greasy.
It can be used as personal lubricant. For sexual intercourse it can irritate the woman's vagina. But for yourself it's very nice.
