What type of oil/lubricant should I use to lube a thermometer spring?

Probably KY if you are going to use it on humans.What type of oil/lubricant should I use to lube a thermometer spring?
you don't really need any but if you are just use a little axle grease. but the antifreeze will just disolve it anyway so don't worry. bearings and seals need grease, not springs. i wouldn't grease it. if it's new don't worry about itWhat type of oil/lubricant should I use to lube a thermometer spring?
WD40 will work, though it will wear off quickly. You'll want to look more into something along the lines of white lithium grease.
a high temp oil or grease.
