Im 2 months pregnant.Is it safe using baby oil as lubricant while having sex?

I used it once before i got pregnant, not to go into details or anything, but i found that it irritated me, i dont think its really intentend for that kinda use, so id use ky jelly or vaseline for lubricant, as irritation or an infection down below is the last thing u need while pregnant. Not just because of babys safety either, you so do not need extra discomfort on top of a million and one pregnancy symptoms.Im 2 months pregnant.Is it safe using baby oil as lubricant while having sex?
i wouldnt suggest it! if you have to use lubricant to have sex while pregnant then maybe you shouldnt be having sex! women sex drive do actually do down when pregnant while others may go up! ....HOWEVER if you have always had this problem then speak to your DR about it!Im 2 months pregnant.Is it safe using baby oil as lubricant while having sex?

Your cervix is plugged with mucus during pregnancy so there's no danger of the lubricant getting up to the baby. Just make sure it's water-based if you're using condoms since petroleum-based products will put holes in them.

i don't think so! baby oils have a lot of perfumes in them...you should really call your Dr. or any Dr. if your embarrassed.

NOOO baby oil shouldnt be used as a lubricant. Get something that is actually used for that purpose. KY Jelly or something to that nature. Those things are created so they dont cause problems with your body. Infections, and whatnot!
I would say yes it is safe, but I would check with your doctor to be 100% sure. If it's not, I'm sure that they can tell you what is safe.
you shouldnt need lubricant if you're man is doing his job. a little fore play will do the trick to get you moist enough to do the deed. if your talking about the back door and are lubing up use something made for such use, baby oil is absorbed by the skin and has no antioxidents to kill bacteria. there are lots of products for that try KY , or lube glide. go look by the condoms in the drugs store there's plenty to choose from. but no on the baby oil.
Why don't you try using something that was actually made to be a sexual lubricant like Astroglide or KY. That's not what baby oil was made for and I doubt it's good to use it like that.
Baby oil is never safe to use as a lube! It isn't water soluable and could lead to serious infections and complications with your pregnancy. Use KY Jelly or something to that nature. If desperate for a quick lube my OBGYN suggested using egg whites.

Yes, it is safe, although I don't think it works very well because it absorbs so quickly. KY or Ultraglide still works the best.
You should ask your doctor to be safe. If your too embarrassed, then I say to go out and buy some lubricant that is made just for that. The reason is because baby oil isn't made to go in your ';down there'; so it might cause infection or something. You should always be safe than sorry ;-) Besides, the small little bottles of those lubricants are really cheap!

Not exactly sure about baby oil. Cocoa butter may be better since it is more natural.
