Is lubricant the same thing as oil ?

i bought an air gun, and want to use propane as my power source, i was told to use silicone oil, but all i can find is heavy duty silicone , and at the bottom of the label it say multi-use lubricant Is lubricant the same thing as oil ?
you def don't want oil.it atracts dirt. look for REM OIL it is a silicone. you should be able to find it at any gus shop, walmart, kmart. if I where you try testing the spray you have and see how heavy it is. some of that stuff is thick and frofy you don't whant thatIs lubricant the same thing as oil ?
Oil is a lubricant, but so is silicone, graphite, and butter. The heavy duty silicone will be fine for what you are needing.
buy REM OIL but at least u have some lubercant lol
