I used baby oil as a lubricant...?

and the next day my vagina started to itch really bad and still does a week later. do you think i have an infection or sometihng? and if so, what should i use to cure it!I used baby oil as a lubricant...?
If it is an infection, it is always better to see a doctor. But if you think that it is an yeast infection, you can buy over the counter medications. If it is other type of a vaginal infection, then it is better get help from a doctor.





Baby oil may cause an infection, if you are allergic to it or if some part of the baby oil chemical is not accepted by your vaginal wall. (allergic reactions). There are many oil products and lubricants specifically made to use in the vaginal area. Please don't put what ever you want in there.... go and buy good lubricants from the store. It will cost you more, if you get sick because of other stuff you put in.I used baby oil as a lubricant...?
Sometimes fragrance can cause irritation, and there's fragrance in baby oil.


See a doctor since it hasn't gone away in a week. Irritation can make it easier to get a yeast or bacterial infection, and that might have happened.


Water based lube like KY or Astroglide is relatively inexpensive and less likely to cause irritation, for next time.
I don't think baby oil is intended for that.


I don't know if you used a condom, if you did, chances are the oil weakened it as well as making you itchy.

Btw, stick to water based lubricants specifically designed for that purpose next time. You can buy them in the condom section.
You should only use water based lubricants in your vagina. While hypo-allergenic, the oil still traps bacteria and alters the PH of your vagina because it doesn't get absorbed...it just stays in there. You almost certainly have a yeast infection.
for one.. after the next day could be it.. the oil.. go with the safe stuff.. KY.. or the water base stuffs.. baby oil has additives.. ive used it and it dont last.. smells.. and yes itches
You have Thrush. You get it when 'unnatural' things are down there. Get some thrush cream from the chemist.
well i don't think tha baby oil did it because rthey are hypo algergenic ?? so what ever it is you better see a doctor !
